Brain damage may help quit smokingWell..hmmm...we could have some fun with this...

A brain-damaging stroke in certain area in the brain could help smokers quit smoking immediately, according to a study published Friday in the Jan. 26 issue of the journal Science.The study shows that to cause loss of the craving for nicotine, the stroke may better occur in a 2.5-centermeter(sic) wide insula, a small island in the cerebral cortex deep in the brain that has been known to function as a platform for feelings and emotion including nicotine addition.
