God (when i say God, i could very well be refering to Allah/Buddha/Beelzebub or whatever deity you feel free to worship) knows what the hell i'm likely to write in my blog...i've never had a blog before, never really felt the need to have a blog - come to think of it, it's only from shear boredom i'm even creating this monster!

Associated Press:
JACKSON, Miss. - Two dolphins that were swept from their aquarium tanks into the Gulf of Mexico by Hurricane Katrina were rescued Thursday, but six others remained at sea.


Ok - call me crazy - but why in the hell do dolphins need "rescuing" from the sea? Is that not where they come from?

using my magical powers of deduction... the dolphins were probably raised in captivity. hence, they probably cant fish for themselves. they are probably also a bit battered up after being swept out to sea from their pens in a hurricane.

but.. im sure you thought of that and just wrote this weird post because you had nothing better to do.. right? ;)

Indeed it does go on to say that they were raised in captivity and therefore do not know how to survive in the wild and avoid ships and the like - but it also says within the same paragraph that they are managing to evade capture very well and therefore are managing to avoid the ships of the capturers. Therefore my magical powers of dedution tell me that either the editor has not proof read the story, the dolphins can survive far better in the wild than first thought, or there was no thought.
