Move along to the links above! There's nothing to see here!

God (when i say God, i could very well be refering to Allah/Buddha/Beelzebub or whatever deity you feel free to worship) knows what the hell i'm likely to write in my blog...i've never had a blog before, never really felt the need to have a blog - come to think of it, it's only from shear boredom i'm even creating this monster!

I dropped a sock outside when I was hanging my clothes up last night - by the time I went back there for the next trip there were 2 slugs and a leech on it. i knew my clothesline here was placed in a dark, damp and dingy place - but I never realised it was that bad!

Rhetorical question time: how do I stop moths from getting on my clothes while they are hanging outside attempting to dry?

Comments:
Leeches? Where do you live? ive never even seen a leech!

Just a normal circa 1980's flat that is part of a set of four (4) in lovely sunny ideal climate all year round Port Macquarie - it's actually cold all year round.

In summer it's like 20 degrees celcius with a cold ocean breeze, and in winter, well it's like 20 degrees with a cold ocean breeze. Ok, so comparitively speaking 20 degrees celcius isn't cold compared to, for instance, the entire Northern Hemisphere, but compared to most summer temperatures in Australia it's about 1/2 the normal temperature.

Back to the clothesline - the main problem here is that they have managed to put the washingline in the coldest, dampest, dingiest place in existance. You have to go down a dark corridoor, jump over a creek, feel your way through some caves, hike for 4 km's, hack your way with a machete through the vines...and low and behold...there's the magestic mystical washing line.

Leeches are usually in damp, dark locations eg. rainforests, which gives you some idea of the climate of the washingline locality. There are sub-tropical lowland alluvial rainforests in Port Macquarie in patches - but puting a clothesline in the middle of one is a poor judgement move on the owner of this establishment.

Note: it is not placed in an actual rainforest, they have however, created a rainforest environment with selective plantings, and the general positioning of the buildings, neighbouring buildings, fences, etc in such a way that it (the clothesline) is never in the sun at all during the day and/or night.

Oh well there are definitely no cold places where i live and definitely no rainforests either so that explains it ;-)
