My Manifesto: The Incoherent Ramblings of a Madman

It is Melbourne Cup Day. The race that stops Victoria, due to their public holiday, and the race that causes the rest of the country to just work while half drunk, or go AWOL for the last half of the day.

I currently have $-6.78 in my bank account. My boss was making jokes the other day that everyone should love me for my bank balance - only he was implying it should be large, very large, somewhere along the lines he thinks he pays me well and doesn't seem to understand I made double what I make now straight out of highschool working part-time. I make the least amount of money out of all of my non-engineering friends.

Something is wrong somewhere.

I am not an engineer. I am pretending to be one until I can work out what I want to be. At the same time, I know when I find out what that is, that will be the day I stop searching, and the day I stop searching will be the day I die.

There has been more deaths in Iraq of US military forces. Apparently they're going to "Win this war" according to George "Dubya" Bush, even though, they have already "Won" the war according to George "Dubya".

We have been having record low temperatures for November. It has been below zero in parts of NSW near me. All of the cotton has been ruined by the cold snap, or so I have been informed. If it is not drought, it's cold, if it's not cold it's heat. I am still refusing to believe that people who farm land in areas that never have rain should complain about droughts, more so, we should be complaining about their stupidity and it's affect on our economy.

Our dollar is going up, up, and away! Apparently due to our high interest rates it is about the only dollar worth investing in. The exporters are up in arms over it all. The trouble is, they claim that due to our increased dollar it makes our produce/products more expensive for overseas buyers to purchase. I maintain this stance, and will always maintain this stance: if the product is a quality product, the people will be willing to pay more for it and the exporting of it shouldn't be affected by changes in our dollar. For them to be complaining so much, they must be pretty dodgy units they're attempting to ship.

I wish I on holidays on a cruise ship right now. That is something I have never done. The only trouble is I have no one to go with - and turning up alone would be weird..wouldn't it? or are these cruise ships like the love boat where everyone is screwing like rabbits? I really have no idea. And going by current trends - I'd come down with some mysterious illness and end up on a rogue "aurora" ship that sails around the ocean not being accepted by Spain and half of Europe until the people are quarantined.

I think I'd best get to work.
