My Manifesto: The Incoherent Ramblings of a Madman

I've got the RTA on my back again. The specifications I wrote, which were word for word based on the RTA standard specs, apparently are wrong. They're ok by the relevant Australian Standards, but in practice they can't be achieved. The problem lies within the RTA itself. They seem to have problems with writing things that are practical, all of the painting guys are saying this. Word for word the same as the RTA - and yet the guy from the RTA keeps saying they're wrong and I should do it the same way he has done them! They are his specs! I don't know how many times I have to tell him this. I'm wondering if I should be totally blunt with him, it is a move that will totally ruin whatever career I may/may not have, but in the end I think it may be worth it to get him off my back.

We'll see how it all turns out on Monday when the tenders are due in. I guess in the end the worst that can happen is it will get put down to youthful ignorance and I will have a black mark against my name for around 10 yrs. Best case scenario - the bridge gets painted and I never heard from one RTA guy again.
