Move along to the links above! There's nothing to see here!

God (when i say God, i could very well be refering to Allah/Buddha/Beelzebub or whatever deity you feel free to worship) knows what the hell i'm likely to write in my blog...i've never had a blog before, never really felt the need to have a blog - come to think of it, it's only from shear boredom i'm even creating this monster!

Libra
You may feel a little worn out right now, dear Libra, as if you haven't been getting enough vitamins or rest. Or you may feel that you are losing track of issues that are important to you, such as your children's progress in school. Whether you want to or not, you need to slow down a bit. Today, give top priority to all the commonplace details of daily life.

^ This is me this week (and almost the entire rest of the world - but that is besides the point)

Going back to Brisbane for a weekend made me realise how much I miss the mundane, backward, relaxing, slowness, naivity of it all....and the eternal summers.

It's started snowing in the hills near here and there is a cold wind.

Sometimes things do not go according to plan - and sometimes things go completely pear-shaped but still seem to end up OK in the end!

It was 1740 and i had to get from the arsehole of the earth (aka the western 'burbs) to the Northern suburbs where by I was to pack a bag and then travel to the airport by 1830 for a 1900 flight during peak hour traffic! This would be one of those journeys that should've taken about 2 hrs. I ended up at the airport at 1850.

When i got home there was all of these wooden logs in the driveway, some dirt, and a taxi parked diagonally across it. I just ramped up over the logs and parked there blocking the taxi driver in, ran up inside and grabbed my stuff, ran down, jumped back into my car.

Luckily for me the car door was still open, lights on, and engine running. Unluckily for me, I had now been parked in by another car. So for ten minutes we played the cat and mouse game of: "we're all going to sit here and do nothing and three cars who cannot move forward or backwards will somehow magically untangle the traffic jam they have created".

So i figured i'd try and sort it out....i moved the garden logs and pile of dirt out of the way, directed the car out of the way, and told the taxi driver to get the hell out of the way - all in a most polite way of course (aka " please people...i don't care what you do - i need to get the hell out of here to catch my plane NOW! so here is the plan and i won't take no for an answer!!!")

Back on the road again....zig-zagging hilarity and "i'm so crazy and on a mission i'll invent my own lane" fun began.

I get to the airport and was running like a crazy man through security...hell i'm shocked they never tried to pull a gun on me. I would've pulled a gun on me if i was them. Dragging my bag along with conversation along the lines of: "i'm...*puff*...meant to be *puff*....on this plane..*puff*...*puff*... now... can you *puff*...help me...please???"

I had to run to board the plane...but somehow my luggage beat me there. Those little conveyor belt things must be pretty damn quick....because i had no time to spare.

All i can say is - thank god virgin airlines cannot run anything on schedule. Thank you virgin airlines - i love your tardiness and general all-round unprofessionalism. You've made my weekend once again! You truly have!
