God (when i say God, i could very well be refering to Allah/Buddha/Beelzebub or whatever deity you feel free to worship) knows what the hell i'm likely to write in my blog...i've never had a blog before, never really felt the need to have a blog - come to think of it, it's only from shear boredom i'm even creating this monster!

i have a new "exfoliating body, face, hair scrub" which says: "to be used at least three times per week or as necessary". The dilemma I have is that until I got it I didn't realise that it was necessary. Now i have it - when is necessary ? And if I keep using it as a soap, which for all intensive purposes is what i have been, will i eventually exfoliate my skin away and end up looking like the melting man?

Dustin "Saved by the Bell - Screech" Diamond has a home porn movie out which he actually commentates through apparently. I just hope he isn't in character - or otherwise if I was the two other girls with him I'd have had to rip out his annoying winy voice box.
I hope he gets the royalties for it - it've have to pay more than selling dodgy t-shirts to save his house

RIH said with sarcastic glee: "The first thing I saw when landing at Brisbane was a big lit up sign reading "Welcome to Bri-b-ne". I felt embarrassed for Brisbane - and I'm not even from here"
Dave responded: "They'd be lucky to actually spell Brisbane right to begin with. The letters that were burnt out were probably "z" or "x" or "y""
This my friends marks the beginning of a new era.

We have an english backpacker staying with us at the moment and he keeps giving me shit over my bad australian accent. My bad australian accent? I'm a damn australian! If my accent doesn't sound australian - what the hell is it?

Brisbane brisbane brisbane....why are there so many damn kiddies lazing around in red/black/white striped clothes with red mohawks and blackhair trying to fit in with each other? Is this all that matters? finding your tribe?
The media would have us believe there are the Crips and Bloods running amock as well in Brisbane....is it really that bad? And are we really that pathetic that we have to mimick overseas gangs? If we're going to be in gangs...why the fuck can't we be in our own gangs? I say bring back the Push gangs and "socking" each other 1800's Sydney style yo'!
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places
Worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going no where
Going no where
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression
No expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow
No tomorrow
No tomorrow

Didnt take too long 'fore I found out
What people mean my down and out.
Spent my money, took my car,
Started tellin her friends she wants to be a star.
I dont know but I been told
A big legged woman aint got no soul.

God save me from another fuel album and falling into the trap of liking the sickly sweet melodies overlaid on a distorted bass with power chords.
New Thing - Fuel
Take me out alive
Take me out it's all so stale
Give me another life
Excuse me if i tried and failed
And I don't mind if I fall
It's not that far at all
I got a new thing, it's so inspired
It's not the real thing, but it's for me
Because the real thing I don't desire
So it's the new thing I choose for me
Denial comfort me
Built the gallows high
You gave me plans and silver nails
The architects of pride
But I'm the one you're hanging now
And I don't mind if I fall
It's not that far at all

A tale of two squares
A solo man with a full-faced beard stands in the square singing loudly to himself "Nothing but the blood of jesus". No hand or hat or implement out for money. He asks for nothing and is in key. Some emo kids, the new goth-punk fusion fashion lay around on the steps nearby - I am yet to work out why they are always either laying around or fly kicking things. Always from extreme to extreme. The museum is on one side with faint lights and construction fences line the other side. A soft glow is over the square. The sun long gone. A soft wind blows.
Two white people are having a dance off. In the park, under spotlight, while a black instructor yells out words of encouragement. The bass can be heard from my apartment. Laughter.
NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD - William Doane and Robert Low
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Oh! precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my pardon, this I see,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
For my cleansing this my plea,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Nothing can for sin atone,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Naught of good that I have done,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
This is all my hope and peace,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
This is all my righteousness,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Now by this I’ll overcome—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus,
Now by this I’ll reach my home—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Glory! Glory! This I sing—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus,
All my praise for this I bring—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

It's a bit sad that Steve Irwin is now gone - sure he was a complete naive embarrassing yobbo- but there's a bit of naive embarrassing yobbo in all of us.

Looking over some of the shite on this page it has led me to believe that my grammar is regressing the more I use my blog. By the time I'm 30 I'll be using mono-syllable words that are typed phonetically.

Enough said. No wonder everyone is trying to distance themselves from the nutter.

There are always all of these "events" or "festivals" or whatever the flavour of the weekend likes to call it in Brisbane. To me it lessens the effect. It's Ekka, it's river fire, Oh it's the 3rd Sunday of the month festival, it's the 2nd tuesday of Spring festival, it's the we live in Brisbane and want a festival festival.
With all of the festivals - which am i supposed to actually get excited about? Because to be honest I have no idea as I've not heard of any of them.
It's amazing how little Brisbane knowledge I have been exposed to when growing up. NSW is much more Sydney focused than i had ever realised - the scarier thing is that QLD even seems to focus on Sydney as well.
